Dustin Johnson’s 4Aces make it to the last four of the LIV team finale.

Dustin Johnson will receive another seven-figure payout to cap up his lucrative LIV season.

Johnson and his 4Aces GC team are one of four teams competing in the Saudi-sponsored LIV Golf team championship finals on Sunday. The victorious team will get $16 million — $4 million for each of the four competitors — at Trump National Doral.

Johnson’s team defeated Cleeks GC 2-1 on Saturday to get there, with Pat Perez and Talor Gooch holding off Graeme McDowell and Richard Bland in extra holes to score the winning point.

“It’s all about the competition for us,” Johnson added. “We hope to win the first LIV Golf championship. It could go either way. Every team up here is clearly playing well. In my opinion, there are no favorites.”

Cameron Smith and Punch GC advanced to the final after defeating Sergio Garcia and Firebirds GC 2-1; the Louis Oosthuizen-captained Stinger GC advanced after beating Bryson DeChambeau in 23 holes to seal a 2-1 win over Crusher GC; and the Brooks Koepka-captained Smash GC advanced after defeating Ian Poulter, Lee Westwood, and Majesticks GC 3-0.

“I’m just happy we got to Sunday,” Oosthuizen said.

The first two rounds in Miami were match play; the final round on Sunday will be stroke play, with all 16 players’ scores (four on each of the four teams) counting toward a total. The winning team will receive $16 million, while the runner-up will receive $8 million, the third-place team will receive $6 million, and the fourth-place team will receive $4 million.

“I’m extremely happy with the way everyone is playing,” Koepka said. “On Sunday, everything is possible. It may make for a thrilling conclusion.”

That means that all 16 players who tee off on Sunday will be guaranteed at least $1 million in the season’s eighth and final LIV tournament.

“We’ve had a fantastic year,” Johnson added. “And no matter what happens tomorrow, we’ve had a fantastic year.”

Johnson began the week with $13,637,767 in earnings, with an additional $18 million for becoming the season’s individual winner. That amounts to $31,637,767, and he is now guaranteed to win at least another $1 million on Sunday.

Add in the $1.6 million he won on the PGA Tour between January and June, and Johnson will complete the 2022 calendar year with somewhere between $34.3 and $37.3 million. That’s on top of the alleged $125 million he received for signing with LIV, but it’s unclear how much of that incentive he has gotten to yet.

Each of the four teams that were eliminated on Saturday received $3 million, or $750,000 per participant.
